Northwest Jaguars 44 Churchill Bulldogs 7
Sophomore quarterback Jaden Selby entered the contest midway through the second quarter and acquitted himself well in his first varsity action. He completed 4 of 8 pass attempts for 65 yards and a touchdown, a 10 yard sideline strike to junior wide receiver Evan Levitt. Selby combined with senior QB Dre’ Horsey for 10 completions in 16 pass attempts for 86 yards. Sophomore running back Bryce Wilson broke off a 34 yard run to start the fourth quarter and set up Levitt’s score. Senior tight end Casey Casten led the Bulldog receivers with 4 receptions for 47 yards.
Next up for the Bulldogs, a rare visit from a Virginia squad as the Broad Run Spartans will pay a visit to the Stadium on Friday 10/18. Entering tonight’s games the Washington Post had the Spartans ranked 11th in the DMV, and the Jaguars ranked 10th.
