We ‘d like to welcome Shelia Saunders as our new Varsity Cheerleading Coach! Sheila has more than 21 years of experience coaching cheerleading. She fell in love with the sport and started coaching club teams prior to moving to the high school level in 2009. She loves passing on her knowledge to her athletes in hopes that they would not only become great cheerleaders but students and young adults as well. She believes that you never stop learning and that there are life lessons in every situation. Sheila has been trained under some of the best Allstar coaches and continues to attend coaching conferences and clinics. In her spare time she enjoys movies, dancing and spending time with friends and family.
Joining Shelia will be her daughter Bryanna Simpson to be part of her staff. Bryanna started cheering at the club level at the age of 7. She made the varsity team all 4 years of high school and reached level 5 on her all-star cheer team. She began coaching at the allstar level in 2012 and high school 5 years ago. Bryanna holds multiple certification and continues to grow by attending conferences and clinics. Bryanna believe that through hard work and dedication you can achieve any goal you set. The only thing that will stop you is you. She is a fun loving person and enjoys spending time with her family.
Coach Saunders will be holding a meeting for all interested cheerleaders on Tuesday, March 10th at 11:15a in room 215. We are so very happy to have both joining our Bulldogs athletics program so please take the time to welcome them when you see them.
