Coach Williams has been very busy this off-season getting everything ready for the 2017 season. From designing a new look, creating a new attitude, and putting together a top notch staff, Coach Williams has been working nonstop. The staff that Coach Williams has put together is highly respected throughout the county and just recently, Coach Williams was able to include one more knowledgeable and respected coach. This new addition joins Coach Williams as the second former NFL player on staff and he’s a local Washington Redskin great. Former All-Pro offensive tackle, Chris Samuels will be joining the Winston Churchill football staff as the offensive coordinator. Coach Samuels had recently been the head coach at Osbourn High School in Virginia until stepping down to relocate to the Potomac area. Having several opportunities to coach at several top local high schools, Coach Samuels decided that Winston Churchill was the best fit for him. Coach Samuels brings with him not only his experience of being a high school head coach but also 10 years of NFL experience with 6 pro bowls and coaching time with the Redskins, the University of Alabama and Nick Saban, and Blount High School in Alabama. Coach Williams is extremely excited to bring Coach Samuels on staff as they look to turn Winston Churchill back into the county power that they have historically been. Welcome to Winston Churchill Coach Chris Samuels!
